We received your card. We are looking forward to the school reunion. Thanks for all the work you are doing.
Leon Beck and I were married on March 28, 1953. We lived in Elberta, Utah for seven years then moved to Lakewood, California with four little kids in February of 1960. He worked for the Bellflower School District a short time, then for Los Angeles County Road and Flood Department. On May 16 1967 Leon was killed in an accident while working for the flood control. Later that year we were given the Carnegie medal for heroism because he tried to save another worker's life. Both men died.
Bill and I were married three and a half years later. Bill retired from Northrop Aircraft in 1988. We moved to Orem in 1991 after all four kinds had moved from Southern California.
Our Days are full. We enjoy our life here. It has been great being close to my sisters and parents. My mom is 93 and living in an assisted living home very close to us. Dad Died in 1995. I don't mind winters and love seeing a blue sky and clouds.
We make many trips back to see Bill’s 95 year-old Dad. Our life is busy and we don’t have enough time.
Thanks again, Joanne
