Hey! Hi Jerry. Thanks for the email. Nice to hear from someone from the past. So, Vegas huh? I spent 10 years there myself (1958-1968) Less 2 years for the army.  I use to see Burnell Stanton quite often back then.  I don't know if he is still in Vegas or not.  No, I haven't been to any of the reunions but I guess the BIG one is looming near.  I probably should consider it.  How about you?  Have you been?

I won't make any promises to attend a High School Reunion at this time, since it would be my only reason to go back to Payson.  I no longer have family there.  I did retire this past year, so I have the time, but not the motivation.  Still, it might be fun.  We'll see.  We live about an hour out side of San Francisco and don't get back to Utah much anymore.  You are the only contact I've had so far so I have no one's email address for you.  Sorry.  But, good luck in your search.

My wife's name is Cherryl and (I'm assuming you mean) my birthday is March 9th.   As for what I'm doing now....not too much since I retired last April.  Mostly traveling and yard work. And we're looking for another home, maybe one that we can retire to so that Cherryl won't need to work anymore either.

I tried to go onto the web site that you mentioned, but nothing there yet.  Are you going to enter all of this information that you get from people?  It would be nice to read about what people are doing.

Say hello to Bernie for me. I have a little something I think you might get a kick out of, so I'm going to send you a fax. Let me know what you think. Dean

Thanks for taking on the thankless job of putting this all together.  My computer skills are very limited.  Here is what I have been doing since school.  After High School, I worked in Utah for 2 years then left for San Francisco.  I worked for Western Airlines there before going to Las Vegas in 1958.  I worked for a Liquor Import Company.  I went into the Army and got married in 1959.  I served in Korea then back to Vegas and to the Liquor Import Company until 1968.  I moved back to San Francisco, worked at various jobs as a Teamster.  I tried a few other things over the next 32 years, but always went back to driving truck.  It was something I always wanted to do since I was a boy in Payson.  I remember listening to the heavy trucks climb the hill out of Payson and thought how fun it would be to just go someplace. Well, it is fun. Until the truck stops, then you still have to work.

I was divorced in 1989 and remarried in 1994. I married a wonderful woman with a son and we became grandparents in May of 2001 - a boy.  I still like the Old Cars we use to drive; Traveling, Coffee and Jazz music.

After 42 years as a Teamster, I retired in April 2001. We are planning a trip to Wales in 2002 or 2003.  We still live in the San Francisco bay area. (about an hour from SF)

Well, that's what I've been doing.  It will be fun being able to see what people have been up to for all these years.

It was fun to look at the young faces again. I think timing the reunion with "Onion Days" is a terrific idea!  And as a suggestion to the reunion committee, if they could get Clifford Cartwright to sing "Frankie & Johnny," that would be an added touch.  I wrote to Wayne Holden, just waiting to hear back.  Our families go back a long way.

Thanks again.

Dean
