Nice to hear from you. A very pleasant surprise.  Although Christmas was 3 days ago & I am just now reading this, I wish you and yours the same happy wishes and a great new year.  NO, I am afraid I don't have any specific addresses for you.  I am pretty much out of touch. We were in Payson for Labor Day (Onion Days).  Watched parade, listened to band concert and visited.   Saw "Salty" and Pearl, Kay Mendenhall and Earnest Ellsworth. John and Pearl still in Ivins, Kay still in Springville and Ernie is in Payson--as far as I know. I didn't ask him where he was living.

I am looking forward to next reunion. I had to miss the last one, much to my sorrow, due to circumstances beyond my control. Often times, people can be found in internet white pages, if you look long enough. I have found some people that way. Oh, I just remembered, I found Robert Windley that way. I even called him one evening after finding his telephone #. He was a bit surprised. He is still in Maryland. I don't have the address handy, but can get it.   If I can be of assistance, let me know.

I have some spare time now, as of 12/21/01. Boeing Co. put me on lay-off along with 1,000's of others. Now I am being paid to stay home for a few weeks with severance pay and then I will retire later next spring.  I have my own E-Mail now.  The one you addressed is my wife's.  As follows:   Ross Wilson : eeyore1935@yahoo.com   Either one, or both addresses work to reach us.   Keep in touch.

Thx Ross

Hey Jerry, I replied to your second memo before I saw this one.  As I often do, I was reading messages in inverse order of posting.  John Peters in Ivins, UT seemed to have a good list for the last class reunion.  I comm'd with him a few times by snail mail & Mr. Bell's magic machine.  I haven't tried E-Mail with any of our classmates but you since I have become somewhat semi-literate in this medium.  If I come across any pertinent people current domicile Idents., I'll share same with you.  Take care yourself there in "sin-city".  Have you looked up Bernie Stanton, yet?  Last I knew, he was still hangin' around 'Vegas.

Later, Rossco

Beula Rae and I have been putting up with each other with a reasonable degree of success over the past 47+ years. We met July of 1952 on BYU Campus during a summer music clinic.  We dated 2 years and were married July, 1954. B.Rae bore 8 children. The first girl was still-born. We have helped 7 (3 sons & 4 daughters) make it to adult status with a reasonable degree of success. All are married. No. 3 daughter is separated & she & 5 yr. old son live with us.  He & G'pa are great friends.  G'ma Rae has 25 grandchildren (23 living) & she lets me share them with her. They are a great joy. Some are in Colorado, in Wash. state & some in Salt Lake City.

Yes we have been busy for the past 50.  I fell in love with airplanes at a very early age.  Despite Doyle Liddle's encouragements to go college, I decided to pursue a career in aviation.  Ergo, I came south to Inglewood, CA & Northrop Aeronautical Institute.  I finally finished & obtained my FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics License.  I started with North American Aviation building parts for military fighters, then transferred to engineering flight test--lot of fun experiences.  Next major job was at Continental Airlines at their Los Angeles Airport Maintenance base.  More neat experiences over a 22 year career.  Next major stint was with a small start-up airline at Long Beach, CA. "Jet America Airlines" by name.  Lasted 3 1/2 years.  More fun.  Next home was at McDonnell Douglas airplane factory, also at Long Beach.  Lasted 16+ years thru a buy-out by Boeing in 1997.

With the post 9-11 downturn along with already weak economy, Boe started cutting heads. Oct 16/01 I was so notified. 60 days later turned in badge & walked out.  They also granted severance pay equal to one week for each year of service.  So, I am, in a manner of speaking, semi retired for the next 4 months.  Then I will be fully retired.  Hope you are able to stay awake to here.  If I can help, let me know.
